With nearly 50,000 Forsyth County students returning to school Thursday, district officials are advising parents that during the first week of school, some afternoon buses may drop off their last students up to 35 minutes later than should be expected the rest of the year.
Explaining why most afternoon bus routes will see delays the first week, some as much as 25 to 35 minutes, officials said, “Before leaving schools, drivers and school administrators will make sure that all students are riding the correct bus home. We will also take the time to explain and practice safe habits when entering, riding and exiting a school bus.”
The delays should decline to isolated buses 15-20 minutes behind schedule the second week of school and nearly disappear the third week, officials said. Information: https://bit.ly/31bgIk5
