When the Forest Park City Council voted not to renew City Manager Frank Brandon’s contract which expires Thursday, Forest Park Mayor David Lockhart vetoed the council’s vote to place City Management Analyst Angela Redding as interim city manager.

Now Lockhart has called a special meeting for 6 p.m. Thursday in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 745 Forest Parkway to discuss other options for Brandon.

According to the posted agenda, the sole item considered is whether to extend Brandon’s contract for two more years, or appoint him interim city manager.

The agenda also suggests another possible interim City Manager, Forest Park Police Chief Dwayne Hobbs.

Brandon has been city manager since Aug. 6, 2013, after the previous city manager resigned in July 2013.

Although two council members wanted to extend Brandon’s contract two more years, three members voted against extending Brandon’s contract.

Those same three members wanted to replace Brandon in November 2014. They said they were dissatisfied with his job performance.
