The Henry County Board of Education voted at its June 10 regular meeting to approve the final budget for the 2019-2020 school year.

The general fund budget of $407,152,238 is the same amount cited in May when the school board voted to give tentative approval. Revenue is projected to be about $2.5 million higher than expenditures during the upcoming budget year. It was reported last month that tax digest projections and state funding totals ended up being about $5 million higher than expected in earlier reports.

Enrollment for next year is estimated at slightly over 43,000 students with spending at $9,343 per student.
