Fayette County has approved three intergovernmental agreements with the cities of Fayetteville and Peachtree City and the town of Tyrone.

The Board of Commissioners voted 5-0 on Feb. 22 to approve terms regarding the detention and care of jail inmates, including a $50 per day expense rate, which will be effective through June 2019. A second agreement jointly funds 2.5 miles of road repaving in Peachtree City, 1.5 miles in Fayetteville and one mile in Tyrone. The third IGA specifies that the county will pay Peachtree City $150,000 and Tyrone $18,000 to help maintain and operate recreation facilities that are open to all Fayette County residents.
