The Georgia Partnership for Transportation Quality gave the exchange, the first of its kind in the state, its Best Innovative Solution and Grand Design awards.
The Perimeter Community Improvement District, which initiated the project to ease congestion for the 55,000 vehicles that travel the interchange daily, accepted the honors.
