Duluth is looking for individuals interested in becoming more involved in the community. The following boards/commissions have one open position each: Alcohol Review Board, Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, and Urban Redevelopment Agency.

The Alcohol Board reviews requests made for amendments to the city alcoholic beverage ordinance, serves as an appeal board when an applicant has been denied a permit/license to sell alcoholic beverages, or when an applicant has violated city ordinances.

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board provides advice and guidance to staff and elected officials to meet the recreational needs of the community. The board is responsible for the development of park facilities that include projects associated with funding from SPLOST, recreational policies and procedures, citizen input, budget support, and public relation support.

Urban Development Agency activities are coordinated through the City Clerk and all inquiries should be directed to Teresa Lynn at tlynn@duluthga.net.
