The tree canopies at Bunten Road Park, Rogers Bridge Park and W.P. Jones Park in Duluth will be trimmed and limbed up to meet the 3-foot to 7-foot safety rule which states no landscape shrubbery should be over 3 feet in height and all mature trees should be trimmed up to 7 feet. The trimming of the tree canopy is standard maintenance to preserve healthy growth as well as visibility for park users.

In addition to trimming the tree canopy, scheduled maintenance will be performed at the large and small dog parks beginning mid-Dec. Park areas will be closed to both dogs and humans during the tree trimming process.

The Parks Department will post project notices at the park and on the city website: www.duluthga.net.
