Fulton County Public Schools has decided to allow 11 out-of-district students to continue attending a magnet school, reversing its initial decision to remove them, officials told Channel 2 Action News.

District officials initially said the students could not continue at North Springs High School, claiming it violated the district’s charter, according to the news station.

Those students were notified weeks before they were scheduled to return to school Aug. 6.

The students’ parents had been paying tuition.

Earlier this summer, the school system notified 14 students at North Springs that they were no longer allowed to attend the school, Channel 2 reported.

Later, the district decided to allow three of those students, who are rising seniors, to stay at the school, Channel 2 reported.

Now the system is allowing the other 11 students, who are rising juniors and sophomores, to continue.
