A park in southwest Atlanta, shut down last year in a scare over coyotes, has reopened to the public after an animal trapper captured a pregnant female there, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Emma Millican Park was reopened after the coyote was caught and euthanized last month. The city had installed cameras to track the coyote’s movements.

A popular place for children to play, the park had been closed in late November after a den of coyotes was spotted living on private property next door.

The park is in the Capitol View Manor neighborhood off Metropolitan Parkway. Coyotes became an issue in the neighborhood last year after reports of the animals attacking residents’ chickens and a goat.
