County providing dispatchers for Union City emergency responders

The city of Union City and Fulton County entered into an agreement where effective March 1, 2015 Fulton County will provide all 911 services and dispatching services for the Union City Police Department, the Union City Fire

Department, and emergency medical services. The non emergency telephone number for the Union City Police Department (770-964-1333) will be routed to the Fulton County Communications Center. All emergency calls should be made via 911 and all non emergency inquires may be directed to 770-964-1333.

Union City Public Safety will continue to respond and provide service. By consolidating dispatch and 911 services with Fulton County, the city of Union City will be capable of having interoperability with other public safety agencies which will enhance the overall response, according to city officials.
