Marietta cancels Milo’s business license
Marietta has cancelled the business license of Milo's Bar and Grill, 11 Garrison Road, after 49 incidents there in three years. That number includes 14 acts of violence including the murder of Tekilum Terrell on April 7, 2013 and a gun battle in the parking lot two weeks ago. A notice was sent to Quantria Barnes, the most recent business license owner, to close the bar by midnight March 31. Tucker McQueen for the AJC
School board member to resign
Marietta City school board member Brett Bittner will resign April 30 after accepting a marketing job in Indianapolis. Bittner was elected to the Ward 1 post in a special election in 2012 and reelected to a four-year term that started in January. Suwanee Day to become two-day event
After 30 years, Suwanee Day is being rebranded as Suwanee Fest and will be celebrated Sept. 20 and 21 at Town Center Park. Applications are now being accepted for exhibitors, who will be selected through a jury process. Food vendors and entertainment applications also being accepted. Greenstock day planned in Woodstock
Woodstock will hold Greenstock Day, 9 a.m.-2 April 19, at the Park At City Center, Main Street and Arnold Mill Road. Bring in old computers, monitors, televisions and other electronics for recycling 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. Document destruction and battery recycling will also be offered. There will be a charge for recycling some items.

DeKalb County School District will initiate a superintendent search in late spring. DeKalb's superintendent, Michael Thurmond, has said he does not want to remain in his job after his contract expires in June 2015. Ty Tagami

Council to consider fire services fee request
The East Point City Council on Monday will consider a recommendation from the fire department to expand the fee schedule for providing certain emergency and non-emergency response services.

Peachtree City seeks input for signs
Following a city council discussion about what to do about deteriorating subdivision entrance signs, Peachtree City’s administration is asking for public input. At issue is who should pay to repair or replace nearly 200 signs and whether to set price limits and/or standardize sign materials.
