Ten days after being released from jail, a Cobb County man is accused of refusing to allow his 70-year-old, cancer-stricken father to eat and also punching him, according to police.

Gregory Oneal Horn, 40, of Marietta, is back in the Cobb County Jail after his arrest Monday, booking records show. Horn is accused of not allowing his father, who has pancreatic and colon cancer, to eat, according to his most recent arrest warrant, obtained by the AJC.

Horn also allegedly punched his father in the right shoulder, then cut the phone cord to prevent the older man from calling 911, the warrant states. Horn was charged with cruelty to a person over 65, simple battery, criminal trespassing and obstruction of a 911 call, according to jail records.

The recent incidents allegedly occurred while Horn was living with his parents after his Feb. 17 release from the Cobb County Jail. Horn was previously released after serving 60 days, following a Dec. 19 arrest.

In December, Horn allegedly pulled a phone off the wall of his parents' home and then hit his father in the head with the phone, the arrest warrant states. Horn also was accused of hitting his dad in the head and stomach with closed fists, and was charged with battery.

Additionally, Horn has two other prior arrests in connection with incidents involving his father.

In May 2010, Horn was arrested after he allegedly choked his father with both of his hands, scratched his forehead and bit him in his left upper arm, according to the arrest warrant.

Horn was released that August after serving three months of a 6-month sentence, according to Nancy Bodiford with the Cobb County Sheriff's Office.

And in April 2009, Horn allegedly struck his father several times with a mop handle, leaving welt marks on his back, right arm and stomach, according to police. He was released two months later after serving half of a 4-month sentence, Bodiford said.
