Peachtree City is asking local history buffs to comment on draft language for additions to its Founders Corner timeline. Six new plaques are planned for the permanent display on the City Hall plaza, which traces the community’s history and development. Descriptions of land use and early history, settlements, settlers, 19th-century business, 20th-century schools and farms, and the city’s late 1950s founding will be prepared for installation after a period of public comment. The text and information about the entire project are at www.peachtree-city.org/index.aspx?NID=787.
