Among the several zoning cases approved 5-0 on Feb. 18 by the Cobb County Board of Commissioners were two personal care homes.

They will be located at:

  • 5786 Mableton Parkway with Mond Igbinowanhia as the applicant and
  • 2670 Canton Road with Morgan House PCH LLC as the applicant.

Both can be used only as personal care homes.

For the Canton Road location on 1.76 acres at Chesterfield Drive, Commissioner JoAnn Birrell, who represents that district, added that access will be allowed only from Canton Road.

Birrell said the driveway for Chesterfield Drive must be removed with no parking to be allowed on Chesterfield Drive.

Other zonings to be allowed will be:

  • parking and storage of heavy equipment used in utility construction by Mike Blackburn at 630 Riverside Parkway,
  • an office/warehouse by Brannen Investments LLC at 750 Lansky Werber Road,
  • office and storage for a carpet and floor cleaning company by Michael L. Wilson and Chestnut Street Partners LLC on the west side of North Cobb Parkway and south of Third Army Road,
  • single-family houses by Yasmin Benichay-Biton at 9 and 11 Cooper Lake Road,
