An estimated $13.2 million will be spent on the new exhibit hall at Jim R. Miller Park.
The Cobb County Board of Commissioners agreed Aug. 22 to this fee for the facility at 2245 Callaway Road, Marietta. The ongoing annual cost for programming and operating the new exhibit hall is estimated to be about $137,000 in personnel and $117,000 in utilities and supplies. Building out the master plan for this park will include the replacement of existing exhibit halls A and B and related structures with the new exhibit hall.

Cobb staff has worked with Tvsdesign, the approved architect and Reeves Young LLC to plan and design the exhibit hall to meet the needs of a wide variety of revenue-generating user groups, according to a county statement.
The structure will be designed to be appealing and attractive for large corporate meetings and trade exhibitions. This new exhibit hall will provide modern exhibit facilities, storage, meeting and office space for exhibitors, visitors, suppliers and staff.
Funding will come from the 2016 P.A.R.K.S. Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax Program.
