The city of South Fulton will hold three public hearings to present information regarding the proposed 2018 millage rate and property taxes, according to a press release. All concerned citizens are invited to attend the millage rate hearings:

10 a.m. Tuesday, August 7
6 p.m. Tuesday, August 7
All meetings will be held at the South Fulton Service Center, 5600 Stonewall Tell Road, College Park.
The city of South Fulton incorporated in May 2017 and entered into an intergovernmental agreement with Fulton County to provide services for four months until those services could be transferred to the city of South Fulton. During this time, residents were levied a split millage rate of 7.419 for the South Fulton and 4.430 mills for the Fulton County Special Services District totaling 11.579 mills.
If adopted, the city of South Fulton’s proposed 2018 Millage Rate would remain the same at 11.579 mills. This represents the combined levy of the City of South Fulton (7.419) and SSD (4.430) for the tax year 2018.
In order for the city of South Fulton to continue to provide the same level of services the millage rate must remain the same, according to city officials.
