The Cherokee County School District will continue benefiting from educational program sponsorships and grants to schools, teachers, staff and students under an agreement with the Cherokee County Educational Foundation.

The School Board recently approved a renewal of its partnership agreement with the organization. The agreement runs through Dec. 13, 2019 and automatically renews for additional terms of up to five years.

In return for CCEF support, the School Board will serve in four ex officio roles on the organization’s Board of Directors; and provide use of and access to offices, equipment and supplies, as well as meeting space as needed, a link on the district’s website, promotion of its events and a voice mailbox.

The district also will allow a countywide payroll deduction option for donations to CCEF, and opportunities for district employees to work with the group to hold fundraising events in schools, including the annual awareness T-shirt campaign.
