The city of Chamblee has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement of Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for its comprehensive annual financial report. This is the fourth year in a row the city has won this honor. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of government accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.

The GFOA is a non-profit professional association serving approximately 19,000 government finance professionals.
