Smyrna has a new place to grab a burger and a drink.

And the opening of Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar on Wednesday means that Jonquil — a 11-acre, mixed-use development at Atlanta and Spring roads in Smyrna — is 100 percent occupied.

Jonquil, named after the city's favorite flower, includes a 45,600-square-foot Publix that opened in December and 25,000 square feet of retail/restaurant space in addition to 266 living units.

The developer, Halpern Enterprises, estimates that the intersection sees nearly 46,000 vehicles a day.

Smyrna officials cut the ribbon on the 3,519-square-foot burger joint about 11 a.m., according to the city Facebook page. The restaurant has a 1,200-square-foot rooftop bar and patio.

In addition to burgers, its menu shows salads and milkshakes.

The other Georgia location of Bad Daddy's is in Parkview on Peachtree in Chamblee.

The restaurant company is also in Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Colorado and Oklahoma.
