Buford assesses the condition of city maintained streets each year and proposes a paving project for the fiscal year. The Public Works department recently completed this pavement evaluation and condition assessment of segments of roadway to measure roughness, crack and failure condition.
Based on these results, Buford Commissioners recently approved the following streets for paving in the 2016 Buford Paving Project: Elliott Strett from West Main to South Street, Hutchins Street from Garnett to South Church Street, Latimore Street from Gwinnett Street to Tuggle Greer Road, Jones Street from Williams to Charles Street, Forest Street from New Street to Bona Road, Shadburn Ferry Road from Shadburn Avenue to Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, Arden Drive from Thompson Mill Road to Pebble Court, and Pebblebrook Court from Arden Drive to the cul-de-sac.
