Lana said that students each semester also work on things not related to alcohol like projects on transportation, water management and public safety.
She said her team is in charge of updating more than 400 datasets.
Interns have come from not only KSU but Georgia State University, Georgia Tech, University of West Georgia, University of Georgia, Marshall University in West Virginia and Kennesaw Mountain High School's STEM-focused magnet program.
Lana said she plans on having interns create similar interactive maps and websites on topics like museums, parks and Keep Cobb Beautiful efforts.
