The Henry County Board of Commissioners has cancelled its regular May 15 meeting due to the lack of a quorum, but a special called meeting has been scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, May 24 to consider two time-sensitive items.

The primary reason for this meeting is that the FY2019 budget must be adopted by May 31 according to county ordinance. A second item on the May 24 agenda is a resolution approving the issuance of up to $3.5 million in Henry County Development Authority tax-exempt revenue bonds, which a county spokesperson said must also be addressed this month.
