The Town Center Community Improvement District opened the first CID bike share program in Georgia Nov. 13.
The CID has partnered with Cobb County and Zagster, a leading provider of private and public-private bike sharing systems that also provides the bike share program for Smyrna.
To use a bike, riders visit one of three bike stations at the Bells Ferry trail head, Town Center Mall trail and the future home of Aviation Park at the corner of Barrett Lakes Boulevard and Cobb Place Boulevard.
After downloading the Zagster mobile app, riders unlock the bike with the access code provided on the app, rent the bike and ride. Once the ride is complete, the rider then locks the bike at any bike station and ends the bike rental on the app.
The Town Center Bike Share program will cover more than eight miles of trails.
