Atlanta schools Superintendent Beverly Hall said Monday the system will review 16 schools identified last week as having an unusual number of wrong-to-right erasures last year on state tests. State officials identified the Atlanta schools among 66 statewide as having a high or moderate number of suspicious erasures on the 2010 Criterion Referenced Competency Tests.

The comprehensive audit was the second done in as many years by the state. Last year, officials pegged 58 Atlanta schools for investigation because of erasures on 2009 state tests. That investigation is ongoing.
