The girl received non-life-threatening injuries in the gator attack, which occurred shortly before 3 p.m., FWC officials said.

FWC officials said the girl was swimming when the alligator attacked.

She was transported to Nemours Children's hospital by her parents, officials said.

FWC trappers captured and euthanized the 8-foot-long alligator in Lake Hart after the attack, Orange County Parks and Recreation officials said.
