The jury deliberated for 40 minutes before returning a guilty verdict. And at 27 years old, Justin Chapman was sentenced to life in prison, with no possibility of parole for 30 years.

But did he do it? Did Chapman really set a fire that killed his 79-year-old neighbor? In the AJC's seven-part podcast, "Breakdown," senior legal affairs writer Bill Rankin examined the Chapman case in extraordinary depth and found that — guilty or innocent — Justin Chapman did not receive a fair trial, or a fair appeal, or anything like a fair shake in Georgia's criminal justice system.

This week, "Breakdown" is a Featured Podcast in the iTunes store — a recognition of the show's depth and sweep.
