The Acworth Board of Aldermen voted 5-0 onAug. 6 to pay $315,000 for three parcels — $85,000 each for two and $145,000 for one.

Also, the board terminated its collection agreement with Penn Credit Corp. effective Sept. 6.

Instead, the board agreed to hire Stallings Financial Group Inc. to collect outstanding debts owed to the city.

In other business, Allan Vigil Ford will be paid $33,452 for a 2016 Ford F350 4x4 flat-bed dump pickup truck for the public works department.

Also, Linda Vogt-Wood was approved as a community class instructor to teach Mneme Therapy classes at the Roberts School Community Center.
