A Super PAC supporting Newt Gingrich's bid for the Republican presidential nomination will this week beginning running television spots in Georgia, Gingrich's former home state.

Former Gingrich aide Rick Tyler, a spokesman for Winning Our Future, confirmed to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Monday that the spots would begin soon. The PAC has also bought air time in Tennessee, Oklahoma, Alabama, Kansas and Mississippi.

The spot will beginning airing Tuesday morning through the March 6 primary. Tyler declined to provide specifics on how often the spots would air or on which stations.  It's also not clear if the spots will be pro-Gingrich, a former speaker of the House and Georgia congressman, or if they will be critical of another ca

Two new TV spots, running for in Georgia and other Super Tuesday states target Mitt Romney and don’t mention Rick Santorum, said Tyler. They make the point that “there’s something about Mitt Romney” that conservative voters can’t relate to. “He’s not one of us, he doesn’t fight what we stand for. What is it about this guy?”

Tyler declined to say how much running is spending on the flight that runs through March 6. But stations in the city describe the buy as $250,000 – roughly equivalent to what the pro Romney super PAC, Restore our Future, is spending in Atlanta in the final week.

A national radio campaign on Wednesday will begin breaking on network radio programs such as Rush Limbaugh and Shawn Hannity. Those spots will target Romney and Santorum, with the pitch that “if you want to stick it to the guys in Washington, send Newt,” said Tyler.

Gingrich on Tuesday begins a three-day trip to the state ahead of next Tuesday's primary.
