A Marietta-based church is partnering with Atlanta’s Adamsville Primary School to help students.

In recent months, Greater Community Church of God In Christ has provided reading sessions and helped coordinate the school’s fall festival, according to a district press release. This month, the partnership became official as the church “adopted” Adamsville Primary and became the school’s official community partner.

The school and the church came together through the work of Justin Trawick, a church member and Adamsville’s parent liaison.

“They want us to get our (wish) list together,” Trawick said in a written statement. “They are ready to really move things forward to help this school, these students and this community.”
