Am told a CDC staffer in the agency’s emergency operations center, which was activated to fight coronavirus, has tested positive for coronavirus.

A CDC spokesperson confirmed that an employee tested positive today but declined to specify where the employee worked.

President Donald Trump has doubled down on his remarks made earlier at a Fox News virtual town hall in which he hopes to loosen restrictions by Easter, which is less than two weeks away.
“I would love to have the country opened up and just raring to go by Easter,” he said at the town hall, adding in a subsequent interview, “Wouldn’t it be great to have all of the churches full?”
Trump’s statement comes after health officials say there should be more restrictions on public interactions.
At the coronavirus presser Tuesday evening, when asked why he chose Easter, he said, “I just thought it was a beautiful time.”

The Associated Press reported scientists say the worst is to come as healthcare providers are under increased pressure and continued exposure.
