Bert’s Big Adventure, a non-profit that works to send chronically and terminally ill children and their families on a five-day visit to Wald Disney World, has $698.59 more in its coffers, thanks to students and staff at north Fulton’s Heards Ferry Elementary. The school’s Student Government Association recently sponsored a Candy Gram as a fundraiser for the non-profit. Students and teachers purchased pieces of candy attached to a note that they could send to a special someone, a nice way to show appreciation and support a good cause. Those efforts brought in the nearly $700. More info: www.bertsbigadventure.org
