Drivers on I-10 in Houston experienced a different kind of traffic jam Thursday morning after a truck lost a giant spool on the highway, KHOU reported.

The industrial spool caused drivers to swerve out of the way and cause a traffic jam right around lunchtime, KTRK reported.

Drivers were forced to make some quick moves to avoid a lost load rolling down I-10 and Wayside.

Marie Cervantes said she was driving next to the truck when the spool flew off the vehicle, KHOU reported.

"And that round thing fell, and I saw a big piece of metal flying," Cervantes told the television station.

L.M. Ramirez saw the spool rolling toward his vehicle.

"It was crazy scary," he told KHOU.
