Dash camera video shows the chase that led to a head-on wreck in Carroll County on Tuesday.

Deputies are searching for a man they say caused a head-on collision while fleeing from an attempted traffic stop Tuesday.

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office released dash camera video of the chase, which ended with three arrests and one suspect on the run.

The incident began when a deputy spotted a white Ford F-150 that had a stolen tag on I-20 West, the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post. The deputy followed the pickup to the Ga. 113 exit ramp, where the truck sped up and tried to exit.

The deputy then attempted to pull over the Ford, but the truck kept driving away, making a right turn onto Ga. 113, the post said. On the video, the truck is then seen hitting a Dodge Charger head-on in the middle of an intersection.

Three people remained in the Ford, including the driver, but a passenger in the backseat got out and ran away, the post said.

The sheriff’s office released a photo of the wanted man. Deputies said he appeared to be injured and may seek medical treatment.

The three remaining suspects, whose names were not released, were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. The driver of the Dodge was also taken to an Atlanta hospital for treatment. None of their conditions were provided.

A third vehicle was damaged during the wreck, but the driver was not injured, the post said.

The driver of the Ford, which was reported stolen out of Villa Rica, allegedly threw several guns and drug paraphernalia out of the passenger-side window during the chase, the post said. The vehicle may be tied to thefts in the area. Charges were not released.

The Georgia State Patrol is taking over the investigation into the wreck.

Anyone with information about the fourth suspect is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 770-830-5916.
