A man stole condoms from a grocery store and later kicked a window once authorities caught him and placed him in the back of a patrol car, Athens-Clarke County police said.

Taha Ibrahim Tahanur, 24, allegedly stole the condoms early Saturday, led police on the chase, got out his vehicle and ran into some woods, the Athens Banner-Herald reported.

Tahanur stopped running when he found himself in a creek, surrounded by officers on both banks, according to the newspaper.
