Homicide detectives are investigating the fatal stabbing of a woman Tuesday night at an apartment complex off Joseph Lowery Boulevard in northwest Atlanta.
Officers responding to the call in the 800 block of Magnolia Way found the victim dead from multiple stab wounds, the knife still impaled in her chest, Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones said.
“No witnesses to the actual stabbing were located, but several tenants stated that they heard a verbal dispute in the victim’s apartment before the victim was found deceased,” Jones said.
The victim’s name was being withheld until relatives could be notified.
