An Indiana couple is facing neglect charges after being accused of bringing their infant to a bar Friday night and becoming highly intoxicated, police said.
Shari Treba and Michael Trosclair were seen drinking beer at the Wild Beaver Saloon at around 12:30 a.m. Friday, WTHR reported. Witnesses spotted a baby in a stroller nearby, and one witness told police that he thought he saw Treba breastfeeding while she was drinking and smoking.
At one point, witnesses said Treba chained the stroller outside the bar, leaving her baby unattended while she returned to the bar for another drink, witnesses told police.
Police were called and a Breathalyzer test was performed on Treba, which registered .193, according to court documents.
Treba and Trosclair were arrested on neglect and public intoxication charges, WTHR reported.
The baby was examined at a hospital and was determined to be unharmed, according to court documents.
