A Walgreens in Henry County has been robbed three times by thieves seeking pain pills, police said.

Three thieves with a crowbar are seen on surveillance video breaking through the front door of the store on Eagles Landing Parkway in Stockbridge in December.

They immediately run to the pharmacy and tug on a metal wall until they get through.

The same Walgreens was similarly robbed in January and February, Henry County police Capt. Joey Smith said.

In one of the recent burglaries, 9,000 prescription pain pills, such as Oxycodone, were stolen. The pharmacy valued the pills at $12,000, according to a police report.

A store manager told police about 40 Walgreens pharmacies have been robbed in the metro Atlanta area over the past year, according to a Henry County police report.
