A mom is being charged after a viral video shows her leaving her baby in an unlocked car while she goes into the gas station.
Bryan Amaral posted the video, which contains explicit language, on Facebook Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
It has more than 626,000 views and over 15,000 shares.
The 20-year-old Acushnet mother, Breanna McGrath, is charged with reckless endangerment of a child.
Police said their investigation revealed that McGrath parked her vehicle at a gas station. The video shows a baby being left alone in her car for some period of time, while the car was unlocked and the engine running.
The witness confronted had McGrath as she walked out of the store, which was on the Facebook video.
"Probably not too bright to leave the baby in the car for three minutes ... You're a great mom," he said.
"Are you allowed to video tape me? I'm pretty sure you have to ask me," she said.
Neighbors who know McGrath old WFXT they were stunned.
"I thought she was a nice girl, I see her come visit. I thought she was taking good care of him. He's kind of a little chubby kid," said Susanne Sounik, a neighbor.
"She used to play over here and everything else when she was a young kid," said Jerry Sounik, a neighbor.
FOX25 spoke with McGrath's father on the phone.
"I'm not going to explain anything to you or anyone else. I know this guy was in the wrong," he said.
McGrath was not arrested, but has been summoned to court,
The Department of Children and Families has been notified and is expected to also investigate the incident.
