A man threatened a Best Buy employee in Dunwoody after he walked out of the store with two computers and other electronics without paying, authorities said.

Manuel Mounds was followed into the parking lot of the Hammond Drive store Nov. 27 by the manager after an employee recognized he’d walked out without paying, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Mounds allegedly had a knife when he told the manager they were “going to get hurt,” Dunwoody police spokesman Sgt. Robert Parsons told the news station.

Surveillance video shows the manager went back into the store at that point and called police, Channel 2 reported.

Employees were able to get Mounds’ licence plate number and give it to police. He was arrested within days of the incident, according to the news station.

Mounds is facing felony shoplifting and aggravated assault charges. He is booked in the DeKalb County Jail.
