A North Carolina man is in jail, accused of possessing and distributing child pornography from a registered day care, police said.
They found pornography that contained minors as young as 5 years old.
Neighbors said that this week, police raided the house, which also served as a day care, and records indicate police arrested Bryan Alexander Foster.
A warrant said police found pornography containing graphic images of children between 5 and 15 that Foster kept and distributed.
Neighbor Ben Teasley said the day care has been in operation for years. He said he even sent his grandchildren there when they were young.
“It just goes to show you got to be very cautious and know what’s going on in your surroundings and know who you're letting watch your kids because you never know what’s going on,” Teasley said. “There's a lot of sick people out here.”
State records show the day care is licensed to keep children up to age 12 and was inspected on Feb. 22. No violations were found.
Someone at the house said the day care has shut down but leaders with the state wouldn't confirm if or when that happened.
There is no information available about Foster's role at the facility or how police found out about the presence of child pornography.
