Police are searching for several burglars who made off with millions of dollars worth of diamonds after executing a “Mission Impossible”-style heist at a Roswell jewelry store.
The burglars climbed onto the roof of Jason Guven Fine Jewelry on Holcomb Bridge Road last week before rappelling into the shop and spending about eight hours taking watches, rings and loose diamonds from the store’s safes and display cases, authorities told Channel 2 Action News.

The store’s owner said he was cleaned out after the thieves cut power to his alarm system, entered the shop and methodically took nearly every piece of valuable jewelry he had.
“When I arrived here, the keypad had no power. I immediately noticed something was up and the lights were on,” he told the news station. “We saw the displays on the floor, there was a hole in the vault. We were in shock.”

Police believe the thieves knew what they were doing because they rappelled down from the roof and landed directly in front of a safe filled with expensive merchandise.
“They cut through cinder block and rebar and crawled into the safe, where they stole an unknown amount of jewelry,” Roswell police spokesman Sean Thompson said, calling the suspects a “professional crew”
At least two of the burglars were captured on the store’s surveillance system, but as of Thursday, investigators aren’t sure who they are.
The case remains under investigation and anyone with information about the heist is asked to contact Roswell police.
