A witness to the College Park robbery followed Green and Williams to a nearby apartment complex and told police where they were, authorities said.
Several other men were arrested, but authorities have not said if they were connected to the alleged robberies.
Coweta sheriff’s investigators questioned Green and Williams in Fulton County after officials said the two matched the description of the suspects in the Newnan incident.
Initially, the men tried to blame each other, but they later admitted to being at the Newnan Waffle House, officials said. Green told officials he lied to a waitress about having a gun so she wouldn’t go to the back of the restaurant.
DNA evidence was collected from their plates and could confirm their involvement.
The men did not provide investigators with information about a third man’s involvement or a silver SUV believed to be the getaway vehicle, authorities said.
The men are allegedly also wanted in Cobb for similar robberies, according to media reports.
Green and Williams remain in the Fulton County jail.
