Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of the late Whitney Houston, was found unresponsive in a bathtub Saturday morning and rushed to the hospital, Roswell authorities said.

“She is still alive and breathing and other than that I do not know her condition,” Roswell Police Department public information officer Lisa Holland told Channel 2 Action News Saturday afternoon. “Investigators are on the scene at the hospital and the house.”

Roswell police and fire-rescue personnel arrived at about 10:25 a.m. Saturday at a home in the Ellard subdivision, a 168-acre gated community on the banks of the Chattahoochee River off Holcomb Bridge Road, after Brown’s husband, Nick Gordon, and a friend found her in the tub. Later Saturday, authorities remained on the scene, where yellow crime-scene tape roped off the home.

“As a procedure, they’re getting a search warrant on the house,” Holland said. “They will go through and just make sure everything is covered.”

Houston, who died at age 48 in February 2012, was discovered in the bathtub of a Beverly Hills hotel room. The official cause of the singer’s death was drowning and the effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use, the Los Angeles coroner’s office said at the time. Toxicology results showed Houston had marijuana, Xanax, the muscle relaxant Flexeril, and the allergy medication Benadryl in her system.

“Obviously, the mother died (after being found) in the very same manner … in a tub,” Holland said. “We wish the family well and our thoughts and prayers are with this family.”

Brown, 21, who with several members of her family starred in a short-lived reality TV show after Houston’s death, has been in the news sporadically and has frequently taken to social media to respond to various reports.

In July 2014, she vented via Twitter, furious that someone posted a photo purporting to show her smoking marijuana.

“I’ve never posted any photo of me doing anything! This is someone trying to tarnish and make a horrible name for MYSELF,” she posted. “People are insane.”

Brown also has lashed out at critics who commented about what some thought was her emaciated frame.

“Think I care?” she posted along with a one-finger salute.

About a year ago, Brown announced via social media that she and Gordon had wed. She’d broken news of their engagement on the Lifetime show, “The Houstons: On Our Own.” More recently, Brown indicated she was pursuing a music career modeled after her mom and dad, singer Bobby Brown: “Promise to release some (things) for your enjoyment!”

She also said her late mother was an inspiration.

“No matter what, I will continue to stand my ground as a young woman,” Brown posted. “One thing you CAN depend on is my mother taught me well.”
