Smyrna police arrested a man wanted for attempting to lure two women into his van at a Walgreens.

Atlanta’s Gary Harling Jr., who was arrested Thursday night on two counts of attempted kidnapping and false statements, is being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center on a $50,000 bond, according to a statement from the department.

Harling made an aggressive act toward the women in an attempt to pull them into his white Nissan cargo van July 27 outside the store at 2670 Cobb Parkway, police said.

Police issued an alert Thursday night that included photos of the suspect and the van taken with a cellphone.
