Leanna Harris visited her husband in Cobb County jail Tuesday, five days after court testimony that her husband was “sexting” with several different women while their son perished inside a hot car.

A local television station spotted Harris and an unidentified woman entering the jail around 8 a.m. They didn’t speak to reporters, and Cobb Sheriff spokeswoman Nancy Bodiford said she could neither confirm nor deny the jailhouse visit.

Ross Harris is being held without bond on charges of felony murder and second-degree cruelty to children after leaving his 22-month-old son inside his SUV for more than seven hours. The 33-year-old IT specialist contends it was an accident, but prosecutors say the toddler was purposely left in the vehicle to die.

Cobb Police Det. Phil Stoddard testified that as Cooper Harris was struggling to escape, his father was sending lewd photos to several women — including a 17-year-old — he had met online.

While the revelations shocked friends and family members who attended last week’s probable cause hearing, they may not have been a surprise to his wife. Texts sent by her husband indicated that she knew he was cheating on her, prosecutors said. Harris’ wife told investigators the couple was having intimacy issues, Stoddard testified.
