The only woman on Atlanta Police Department's "10 Most Wanted List," who took flight two years ago, is on the lam no more.

Kimberly Laverne Ward who police say tried to kill her boyfriend with a shot to the chest on Holly Street on March 19, was arrested Tuesday.

Lt Terry Joyner, commander of APD’s fugitive unit, said they and the FBI tracked Ward using technology and social media. Once they found her in Savannah, they followed leads to the Claxton chicken plant where she was working shoveling manure. She was arrested Tuesday on her job and is being held in the Fulton County Jail.

“We thought we had exhausted all leads until a few months ago,” said Joyner. “She was smart enough to stay away for 2 years.”

They are also searching for people who may have helped her hide from authorities for two years. Joyner declined to say who she was living with in Savannah.

Ward was arrested by the department’s Fugitive Unit and FBI agents, and was charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery and kidnapping.
