Arrests have been made in two separate Smyrna bank robberies that took place on the same street.

A robbery was reported at a Wells Fargo Bank on the 3200 block of South Cobb Drive at 9:45 Thursday morning. A man reportedly came into the bank, presented a holdup note and fled after the teller gave him money. Smyrna police worked with Cobb County authorities to locate the suspect at a Kroger on the same street, the location of a robbery one day prior.

Terrence Robinson, 28, of St. Louis, was caught with a bag containing money from the bank. He was arrested and charged with robbery.

Police responded to an attempted robbery at a bank inside the same Kroger one day earlier.

An employee at a Fifth Third Bank inside the Smyrna Kroger called 911 Wednesday just before 12:30 p.m. reporting a man came into the 3200 block South Cobb Drive location and presented a holdup note, but left the bank before he could get any money.

Police responded to the scene minutes later and were able to stop 18-year-old Kentrell Maurice Allen from driving away. Following a short foot chase he was arrested.

After searching his car, police charged Allen, a cashier at Little Caesar’s Pizza, with felony attempted robbery and misdemeanor obstruction of an officer.
