Two Chick-fil-A restaurants in Alabama are closing their dining rooms because of issues with staffing, news outlets reported.

Both restaurants, which are located in McCalla and Madison, will continue serving guests in the drive-thru, according to Insider.

A Facebook post from the Madison Chick-fil-A said, “We, along with many businesses, are in the middle of a hiring crisis.” According to the post, the restaurant is receiving very few job applications than it normally does and that the employees they do have “work hard every day, but they are tired and overextended.”

The post, signed by Norman Dull, said they want nothing more than to go back to normal and that they “apologize for any inconvenience.” The post concluded on a hopeful note, adding, “PS…. if you know anybody that wants a fast-paced job, Sundays off, a fun work environment and a chance to grow as a team member……. have them give us a call.”

A similar Facebook post from the McCalla restaurant said, “We, along with many other businesses, both locally and nationally, are in the midst of a staffing crisis.”

“We are very appreciative, but our team cannot continue at the pace we are at. Our team members are exhausted and there is no relief for them in our roster,” the post continued.

The Chick-fil-A McCalla Team signed off on the post, adding, “We will get back to where we want to be soon, but for now we accept the gift of your grace.”

Many users on social media have been supportive of the restaurant’s decisions.

“Totally understand and appreciate everyone that works at this location. Wonderful service and smiling faces. Stay strong!” one user wrote.

Another added, “Please do what is best for your staff. They are human and deserve grace from us. I appreciate and respect this decision and will continue to support a business that truly cares for their employees.”

“Understand completely. Thankful for your hard work [through] this whole mess. CFA will always be my fave,” a user said.
