This week, we’re looking to get issues resolved previously submitted.

In August, we told you about Kathy Layden’s issue with misleading signage.

“In the mornings, I take I-85 North to I-285 West, going through Spaghetti Junction. Two lanes exit from I-85 N to 285W. After they curve to the left, the lanes straighten out, and the overhead sign shows both as proceeding onto I-285W,” she wrote.

Layden said the lanes proceed onto I-285 for a while, except the right lane runs out just beyond the left gore area, near mile marker 32.

“Vehicles in the right lane need to merge into the left lane. But there is no indication that the right lane is going to end. Drivers unfamiliar with the interchange don’t realize they’re about to run out of road; they have no warning at all,” she said.

We sent the issue back to the DOT and will update you when we have more information.

We also told you about Clay Edwards with a manhole cover.

“About 100 feet east of the intersection of Wyngate and West Wesley Road, on West Wesley Road, in the Buckhead area is a sunken manhole that cars run across every day. It jars the houses nearby and makes a tremendous explosive noise, especially when a truck runs across it. It has existed for years. Can you please raise that manhole so that it is flush with the asphalt?” Edwards asked.

We sent the issue back to the city and will let you know when it is fixed.
