Milton’s Community Development Department will be closed this week for front window services while the city converts to a more efficient online portal. Milton’s finance window, for property tax or business license questions, will remain open.

Milton anticipates the CityView technology will make the city’s permitting and plan review processes more streamlined, accessible and virtual to save citizens, builders and staff time.

The system will accept uploaded documents, allow for real-time status updates and online payments.

“Moving to CityView will be great for anyone looking to add a pool, expand a driveway, create a deck, or do any of the other things that require these kinds of permits and reviews,” Community Development Director Bob Buscemi said. “City staff can’t wait to take advantage of this beneficial tool and we expect citizens and members of the local construction community will really appreciate it, too.”

If all goes as planned, the Milton CityView Portal will be ready for public use beginning Monday, Nov. 22. The department will continue accepting calls at 678-242-2500 and emails at permits@cityofmiltonga.us this week, and staff members will respond as soon as possible.

Later this month, Milton will share a detailed “how to” explaining access and use of the CityView system.
